The Communal House (Komunšćica), or "municipal administration house" located at the entry of the old town of Veprina, was once the main administrative centre for the whole area. Today it houses old tools such as a corn mill, buckets which were once used by the "milk ladies" to sell milk in Opatija, and many other exhibits showcasing what life was like at the beginning of the previous century.

If you book your visit, you will not only learn about the traditions and the way people lived over a hundred years ago, but the staff might even prepare a "sweet surprise" for you. That is, delicious biscuits "Betine", made following the original traditional recipe.
