Vedran Ružić is the modern incarnation of the "Renaissance artist". The award-winning double bassist, who belongs to the elite class of Croatian jazz musicians, is just as good at art as he is at music. Striking artistic images are divided into several periods: from the colorful local motives of Volosko and Kvarner, through chromatic scores that connect music and painting to visually powerful painterly interpretations of Wagner's compositions. Ružić is also the author of impressive sculptures, some of which adorn the public spaces of Volosko and Opatija.
