Just as lavender was chosen as the symbol of the Mediterranean due to its scent and appearance, so the camellia was selected as the symbol of Opatija. Iva Ćulumović combined these two flowers in her Ivy's Sweet Lavander brand that includes lavender sachets, and jams, juices, sherries, cakes and pralines made with lavender or camellia.
She has cultivated every lavender seedling and numerous local fruit varieties on her own, shaping and nurturing them with special attention, without artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Her products have received awards for innovation.
